Mr Manmohan Shetty, born on 28th Feb. 1948 is one of the original founder of Adlabs Films Limited. He is an Arts graduate by qualification and has more than 25 years of track record in the existing business line of the company i.e. Film processing and printing. Mr Shetty started his career by working with a small film-processing studio at Mumbai where he gained first hand experience in film processing. He worked for eight years before starting his own laboratory in partnership with Mr Mamania.

Initially, his laboratory was processing practically 100% of Ad films which are known to be of a very high quality. The Lab also processed a lot of regional films.

Later in 1988 the Laboratory was shifted to a bigger complex as Mr Shetty also started the processing of regular 35 mm commercial feature films. With his excellent quality and efficient service, he soon had all big Producers coming to his laboratory and he now has 70% of the films made in the Western Region and 50% of the National market.
With the growth in work the laboratory was shifted to Film City Complex in Goregaon, Mumbai.

Mr Shetty then ventured to open the first IMAX theatre in India with the largest Dome in the world in Mumbai in 2001.

He then made the first Multiplex theatre in Mumbai called IMAX Adlabs with four screens. These were soon followed by Fame Adlabs and R-Adlabs also with four screens each.

Recently, Mr Shetty launched a Film production Company Entertainment One India Ltd., which is a whole subsidiary of Adlabs to produce Hindi Commercial Films.

Earlier, Mr Shetty has produced films like Chakra, Ardh Satya, Hip Hip Hurray, Holi, and Aaghat from 1981 to 1986.

In Entertainment One Mr Shetty has finalised nine film projects. Five films are under production and four in the pipeline, with Directors like Govind Nihalani, John Matthew, Prakash Jha, Ketan Mehta, Vikram Bhatt, Vipul Shah etc., and Actors ranging from new comers to Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan, Aamir Khan, Vivek Oberoi and Akshay Kumar.

Most recently he has introduced Digital Projection in theatres for the first time in India to help smaller stations get the new films in the very first week. This is the first time in the world that Digital Projection is being done on such a large commercial scale.

Last years turnover of his company Adlabs has been 78 Crores.

Besides, being the Chairman/Managing Director of a Public Ltd Company listed in BSE/NSE. Mr Manmohan Shetty has held many important positions in his life. Some are listed below :

Mr Shetty has been conferred many awards and his films have won National and International Awards.

Adlabs has also received the National Award for the Best Processing Laboratory five times since, 1990.
