ESTEVE CALZADA
Chief Marketing Officer FC Barcelona
Esteve Calzada has been the Chief Marketing Officer at FC Barcelona since January 2002. He is also a Member of the Executive Committee, and he is in charge of Marketing, Sponsorship, Media and International Operations. He has participated in several task forces at UEFA and has been a Member of the NFL Europe Advisory Board during the years 2002-2003 . Mr. Calzada was previously the CEO of Tiscali Spain , the Spanish arm of the pan-european telecommunications provider and a Senior Vice-President for Marketing at Tiscali International. He has also held different international marketing positions in fast moving consumer goods companies, including Reckitt Benckiser, Sara Lee and Unilever. Mr Calzada holds a degree in economics and an MBA from ESADE ( Barcelona ). Born in Lleida , Spain , he is married with two children.
LUCAS D. PAPADEMOS
European Central Bank VP
Lucas D. Papademos, is the Vice-President and a member of the Executive Board and the Governing Council of the European Central Bank. He was born in Athens and educated at MIT where he received a B.S. in physics, an M.S. in electrical engineering, and a Ph.D. in economics. From 1975 to 1984, he was a professor of economics at Columbia University. In 1980 he worked as a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. He held a number of senior positions at the Bank of Greece from 1985 onwards, ultimately serving as Governor between 1994 and 2002. He was elected professor of economics at the University of Athens in 1988.

HANS-PAUL BURKNER
President and CEO of The Boston Consulting Group (BCG)
Hans-Paul Bürkner has been President and CEO of BCG since January 1, 2004. He is the first European to advance to this top position. Bürkner joined BCG in 1981 and became a partner in 1987. In 1991, he founded the Frankfurt office, which he led until 1997 and has been a member of BCG's executive committee since 1998. One of Hans-Paul’s most notable achievements was the expansion of BCG's work in financial services, which now accounts for a quarter of BCG's revenues worldwide. Born in 1952 in Varel (Friesland/Germany), Mr. Bürkner holds a D.Phil. from Oxford University, an M.A. from Yale University, and a Diplom-Okonom from Ruhr University in Bochum.
CHRISTIAN VARIN
Cobepa - CEO
Christian Varin, a graduate from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Paris), has an MBA from the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) and a PhD in management from the University of Paris. Starting his career with Bankers Trust (New-York), he joined Paribas in Paris in 1970 and held various offices in New-York and Asia where he was Managing Director of Paribas Hong-Kong then of Paribas South East Asia based in Singapore. He joined the Company in 1989 and became Chairman of the Management Board in 1996. He is or has been a Director of Sapec, Groupe Josi, D’Ieteren, Fortales, Sodisco, Quick and Zenitel. He was Chairman of GIB and was a senior partner of PAI Partners (Paris). He is managing director of Cobepa SA (Brussels). He is fluent in French and English.
RICCARDO GUGLIELMETTI
CEO, Wall Street Italia
Mr. Guglielmetti has started his career as a bond salesperson in the Luxembourg office of Banca IMI. He then worked for two years in the London office of Monitor Company, one of the most prestigious management consulting companies, and as a consultant in the New York office of Oliver, Wyman & Co., a Booz Allen spin off focusing on the financial sector. Between 1995 and 2002, he worked in the London and New York offices of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, where he was responsible for the US, Latin America and Spain within the Equity Capital Markets group. At Wall Street Italia, his main responsibilities focus on setting the firm’s overall strategy and implementing the business development effort. He is a regular contributor on TV and radio programs around the world. Riccardo has a B.Sc. in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan and a Master in Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

LUCA A. ZERBINI
Bain-Team Leader
Luca A. Zerbini is a Team Leader in the New York office. He first joined Bain in 1999 as a Consultant in the Milan office, where he worked with clients in consumer packaged goods, automotive, information technology and private equity throughout Europe. While at Bain, Luca has contributed to and led assignments in a variety of industries. His client work has included corporate/business unit strategy, marketing strategy, operational performance improvement, organisational design, alliance / partnership management. His specific emphasis has been on improving the strategic alignment, marketing and the organizational effectiveness of corporations, especially in the case of partnerships or post-merger integrations. Luca earned an MBA with Honors from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated in the Dean’s List and majored in Private Equity, Finance and International Management. During his MBA at Wharton he was a Teaching Assistant for Advanced Corporate Finance and for Effective Communication, and spent a month in China as part of the Global Immersion Program; upon graduation he served as the President of the Wharton Club of Italy and was on the Board of the Wharton European Club. He also received a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Prior to joining Bain, Luca was a Supply Chain Project Manager and Business Planner at Hewlett-Packard in the European Marketing and Distribution Center located in Grenoble (France). At HP he managed the distribution of a full product line and led company-wide projects for the improvement of its supply chain to serve specific customers’ needs.Thanks to its international experience, he speaks fluently English, French, Italian and Spanish. Luca now lives in New York City with his fiancée, Katherine, a Manager at Roche pharmaceuticals. They both enjoy traveling and dancing, when they are not entertaining the constant stream of friends and family who visit them in New York.
