The Wharton European Business Conference provides a forum for
policy-makers, scholars and business leaders to gather and exchange
ideas about Europe in a global context. The event is organized by
students and draws vitality and energy from Wharton's entire community,
as an integral part of Wharton's Global Business Forum.
This year's conference theme is "Charting a Course for Europe". Our
primary objective is to articulate a vision for economic growth in the
continent, in light of recent political, structural and macroeconomic
developments. We also wish to examine the special demands on leadership
in Europe and analyze the role of private management expertise in
catalyzing change. Through exploring success stories of European
businesses competing in global industries, we hope to identify key
issues, opportunities and strategies enabling competitive
differentiation for European firms in a global setting.
In addition to meeting and engaging top executives from Europe and
around the world, we believe that your participation in the 2005 Wharton
European Business Forum will afford you a unique opportunity to interact
with the next generation of European business leaders currently being
trained at the top business schools in the US.
