
Mr. Eric Kacou,
Manager, OnTheFrontier, South Africa
Eric Kacou is a Manager with OTF Group's Africa Region. Mr. Kacou originally joined OTF Group at its inception in 2000 from the Monitor Group to fulfill his passion to increase the competitiveness of African economies and the viability of small and medium businesses in Africa. He served as a senior competitor advisor to several country and industry leaders mostly in Africa. As part of Rwanda's National Innovation and Competitiveness Program, Eric led a coalition of entrepreneurs and public sector leaders in developing a national plan to unleash the potential of Rwanda tourism industry. Before living to Rwanda, Eric led the implementation of a Customer Relationship Management system for OTF Group and was involved in a project focused on strengthening the competitiveness of the Bermuda tourism industry, and an effort to help the World Bank establish a Comprehensive Development Framework for Nigeria.
Prior to joining OTF Group, Eric spent three years as a strategy consultant
with Monitor Company in Toronto and Paris, where he advised senior corporate
executives in a number of industries including pharmaceuticals, chemical
manufacturing, telecommunications and home health care. Selected engagements
included helping the French subsidiary of a major US pharmaceutical
company to reposition its blockbuster cholesterol drug, developing a
linear program to optimize the production of a large US paint manufacturer
and restructuring the joint ventures and product portfolio for a US-based
Home healthcare company.
Eric completed his Master's in Business Administration at the Wharton
School at the University of Pennsylvania in May 2004. Prior to that,
Eric earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with the
Mercury Profile Distinction from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales
(HEC) in Montreal, Canada. He also attended an exchange program with
ESSEC in Cergy-Pontoise, France.
