
Mr. Frank Armand D. Douamba

Frank Armand Douamba, a national of Cote d'Ivoire, is Senior Strategy
Officer in Sub-Saharan Africa Department of the International Finance
Corporation. He oversees IFC activities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Before assuming his current position, he was Senior Advisor to the Executive Director for Sub-Saharan Africa at The World Bank Group since 1993. In that capacity, he was responsible for: reviewing and assessing the institution's lending and non-lending financial policies, loans and credit application processing and development policies; identifying major constraints and recommending reforms pertaining to the growth of the private sector in developing nations.
Prior to joining the World Bank Group, Mr. Douamba was a Lecturer at University of Moncton, New Brunswick, for a year and at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, Montreal, for four years, where in addition to designing and delivering courses on marketing policies and strategic management, he undertook extensive research on obstacles to private sector development in developing countries through various field research studies. Mr. Douamba has also held various positions in the private sector in Burkina Faso (Bank of commerce) and Cote d'Ivoire (Manivoir and Sivomar, both shipping companies).
Mr. Douamba attained his Master of Science in Economics from the University
of Dakar, Senegal; his MBA from the University of Moncton, New Brunswick
and his PhD in Business Administration from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes
Commerciales, Montreal.
