Welcome to the 9th annual Wharton Asian Business Conference, "Exploring Frontiers: Confronting Challenges and Breaking New Ground."

Asia continues to be an exciting region of opportunity and growth. This year’s Wharton Asian Business Conference embraces the promise that Asia holds, yet recognizes the inherent challenges that it faces as a region.
Accordingly, we hope to cover current trends and developments, but also confront endemic issues that continue to trouble the region. Such issues may not be new, yet there is enduring uncertainty. Japan’s economic malaise, regional trade agreements and corporate re-structuring are just some of the issues we will address. Adopting a comprehensive and rigorous approach will help uncover regional dynamics and highlight the opposing tensions of co-operation and competition between countries. This will go a long way in cultivating understanding of a region as diverse and complex as Asia, and allows us to explore Asia’s frontiers as a global leader in industry and innovation.
