Dr. LaBrent Chrite is currently the Associate Dean for the Eller Graduate School of Management at the University of Arizona .  Prior to his appointment at Arizona, Brent simultaneously served as the Assistant Dean for global development at the University of Michigan Business School, the Managing Director of the school's flagship international outreach and research center, the William Davidson Institute and as the Director of the South African Initiatives Office in the Center for Afroamerican and African Studies.   Brent has worked extensively throughout sub Saharan Africa and was instrumental in integrating experiential learning activities and research on the continent into Michigan 's curricular and programmatic offerings.  Brent's interests focus on small, medium and micro enterprise development, market creation and the role of higher education in local and regional economic development.  Most recently, Brent lead a World Bank funded research project to assess both individual and institutional capacities of graduate management education institutions in eight countries in sub Saharan Africa.
