As the effects of the 1998 financial crisis begin to fade and
prospects of growth return to the Eastern European marketplace, major
Western investors and service-providers are once again turning toward
these emerging economies. For the first time, the Wharton European
Business Conference will feature a separate panel to discuss the current
state of the Russian and Eastern European equity markets, investment
climates and political/economic environments, as well as the major
business sectors that will ultimately determine the future of this
important region.
In addition to the breakout panel, Pennsylvania Congressman Curt
Weldon, a leading congressional authority on Eastern Europe and national
security issues, will open the European Conference with a special look
toward the role of Eastern Europe in a pan-European business and
political environment. Several other speakers from Eastern Europe and
the former Soviet Union will add their perspectives throughout the day.
All registrants for the European Conference are invited to attend the
Eastern European breakout session. We look forward to seeing you there!
The Eastern European Conference gratefully acknowledges the promotional support received from the Pennsylvania-Russia Business Council.
