Asian Business Conference - Welcome

Dear Conference Participant,

Welcome to the 6th Annual Wharton Asian Business Conference!

The Wharton Asian Business Conference (WABC) strives to provide comprehensive coverage of current trends in the dynamic economies of Asian through a forum for in-depth discussion of key issues pertaining to the sustainability of Asia's tremendous growth, and the excitement associated with new developments in this region.

Founded in 1995 as the Asian Capital Markets Conference, the WABC has enjoyed tremendous success and growth. In just five years, the conference has more than doubled in size and attracts participants and speakers from across the country and abroad.

Previously known as the Wharton Asian Finance Conference, the WABC expands its scope this year to provide a more comprehensive look at the Asian business environment, and the financial and legal infrastructure. Adopting the theme "The Changing Face of Asia: Transition to New Economy," WABC 2000 strives to provide a forum for in-depth discussion of the reinvigorated Asian economy after the financial crisis and of the impact of e-Commerce.

For the first time, the WABC will join five other international conferences to form the Wharton Global Business Forum. We expect an even higher level of excitement, publicity and success, due to this merger.

We invite you to join us in exploring the business issues facing Asian nations.

Sincerely,

The Executive Committee
