Peter Joost

From 1993 through the present, Mr. Joost has been President of Joost Enterprises Corporation, focused on U.S. investments and, since 1997, he has been President of Orchid Asia Management Company, LLC, which manages a partnership focused on Asian investments. Recent investments in the U.S. include (i) Accent Semiconductor, a $100 million Optoelectronic and Semiconductor Metrology company; (ii) Accrue Software, the leading provider of eBusiness analytic software and services, and now publicly traded on NASDAQ; and (iii) Capstan Systems, Inc., the innovation leader in supply chain execution. Recent investments in Asia include (i) an investment with LaFarge of France in the leading gypsum board company in Korea; (ii) an investment in ASAT Holdings, one of the leading semiconductor packaging and test companies in the world, now publicly traded on NASDAQ; and (iii) several early stage companies in China including investments in Eachnet, Zhaopin, Ctrip, and others. From 1984 through 1992, Mr. Joost worked with Mr. Richard Rainwater of Fort Worth, Texas, first at the Bass family’s investment group from 1984 through 1986 and subsequently as Mr. Rainwater’s principal partner from 1986 through 1992. Previously, Mr. Joost worked in investment banking with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York. Mr. Joost was educated at Stanford University and Harvard Business School.
