Colin J. Geddes

Colin J. Geddes is a Managing Director of Global Investment Banking and head of the Financial Sponsors Group in Asia, responsible for originating all advisory and capital raising investment banking opportunities from venture capital firms and buyout funds. The group specializes in leveraged buyout financings, the origination of private equity opportunities and advising venture capital firms on their exit strategies.

Colin joined Bankers Trust in 1997 as Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets for North Asia, managing a team of 11 professionals. Prior to joining Bankers Trust, Colin was head of origination in Northeast Asia for Standard Chartered Investment Banking and his responsibilities spanned across all advisory, debt and equity capital raising activities. Colin had over 15 years of international and investment banking experience with the Standard Chartered Group, during which he played a significant role in developing their structured finance, debt capital markets, equity linked and origination functions in the Asia region, based out of Hong Kong.

Colin received an MA (Joint Honors in Mathematics and Economics) from Aberdeen University, Scotland where he was also winner of the coveted Whyte Prize (for first place in Accountancy) and also won first place in the Political Economy class. He completed the International Executive Program at INSEAD, France in 1994.
